Vegetables, herbs, grass-fed lamb, and wool products

We are pleased to offer you and your family a CSA share of fresh farm produce throughout the harvest season, which runs for roughly 23 weeks, from June through early November. CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, describes a directly interdependent relationship between consumers and farmers. Members pledge their support to the farm before the season begins by signing up for a share in the harvest, and then come to the farm each week throughout the season to pick up their vegetables and enjoy the farm together.

“Your farm is beautiful in every way. From the idyllic setting to the spectacular views; the animals; the gorgeous produce, of course; and most of all, the deep integrity of your intention.”
Diana Allen (Montague Center)

Benefits to both consumers and the farmer

  • Each week you receive a bountiful selection of fresh-picked seasonal vegetables and herbs direct from the field
  • Your produce will cost you considerably less than you’d pay for a comparableassortment at your grocer's
  • You can buy other locally produced goods at low cost from our farm store. We have bread, cow and goat cheese, yoghurt, shitake mushrooms, miso, kombucha, pickles and sauerkraut, honey, maple syrup, dressings, teas, and herbal medicinals.
  • You can help to preserve open space and ecologically beneficial farming in our landscape
  • You can help keep small-scale farming viable by providing the necessary funds at the beginning of the season, when they are needed most
  • We are relieved of the burden of marketing during the growing season, which frees us to focus our attention on the crops and animals
  • Together we will strengthen our community by connecting with the land and each other

How the CSA works

  • When you join, you'll have the flexibility of selecting your own bagful of vegetables from the day's harvest
  • Variety of the harvest is dependent on the season and weather
  • In an effort to balance our need for financial support with a desire to keep our CSA accessible to lower income families we offer a limited number of low-income shares. Please contact us if you would like to apply. Low income rates below. Share: $260 Large Share: $400
  • We also welcome donations to go toward additional low-income shares and sponsored shares for those who otherwise would not be able to join.
  • Choose the share size that's right for you: Share: (former half-share): $325 Large Share: (former full share): $500
  • We recommend large shares for those who have larger families and those who enjoy eating lots of vegetables every day. You may also want a large share if you would like to be able to preserve some of what you take home on a regular basis so that you can continue to enjoy our produce during the winter.
  • Pick up your share at the farm every Tuesday or Friday from 3:30-6:30 pm, June through early November.

“This farm, and the spirit at work at it, are an essential part of our groundedness, our life and health, our joy. We thank you every day as we gather at table.”
The Gabriels (Ashfield)
