The first week of CSA is near!  Tuesday, June 1st and Friday, June 4th are opening days.  Calling all CSA members -- come for your vegetables between 3:00 and 6:30pm on either day.  Bring your appetite for veggies and your CSA bag if you have one, and we'll provide one if you don't.  Hip hip hooray!!  Here it comes!

What: A Work Party!

When: Sunday, May 16th from 10am-3pm

Where: At Natural Roots

Who: Farmers & CSA families

Why: To work on spiffing up the pickup area by:

• Finishing a sandbox for the little ones
• Planting an herb garden and digging out a bed for another
• Building a picnic table or two
• Planting a living fence to help contain the toddlers
• Making the bridge more child-safe

*RSVP if you plan to come, and bring a potluck dish if you plan to stay through lunch.

The eroding riverbank alongside our fields, and especially upstream of the bridge, is an ongoing long-term project on the farm.  We are always happy for help putting in willow plantings and helping maintain the health of those plantings, so call if you're interested in helping out.
