*Natural Roots is currently accepting applications for a part-time seasonal crew member to assist with harvests 2 days per week, beginning in August through November for the 2025 growing season.*

We are seeking an experienced PART-TIME FARM HAND from the week of August 11th through November, for approximately 22 hours per week. Specifically,Tuesdays & Fridays from 8:30 to 5:00 for our CSA harvest days, plus one other full day of work (or 2 half-days if preferred). Per week, tasks will include general fieldwork, transplanting, weeding, setting fence, and livestock chores, in addition to harvesting, washing and packing produce. We’re looking for a positive, detail-oriented person who can work well in a team and also independently. Applicants must have some vegetable farming/harvesting experience. Pay is $18/hour (with accrued sick time). Interested applicants should send a letter of interest with an attached resume with three work references.

Tasks will include general fieldwork, transplanting, irrigating, trellising, mulching, pruning, weeding, harvesting, and washing and packing produce. Previous farm experience preferred. Must be able to lift 50lbs. We will compile applications and begin interviewing for these positions in late fall through winter. To apply, please use the application form here.

We also offer an advanced apprenticeship program for aspiring and experienced farmers looking to gain comprehensive knowledge and skills in draft-powered farming to become a teamster. Apprenticeship interviews occur on a rolling basis and are not offered every year - Generally, we begin interviewing in August for the next year, with decisions made by January. Please submit your application as far in advance as possible.
